Our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) team is responsible for outbound prospecting, outbound lead qualification, and appointment setting for our team of Business Development Managers (BDMs).
The role is made for someone with 1-2 years of working experience, who is comfortable in a start-up environment – ready to roll up their sleeves, jump in the trenches, and do whatever it takes to succeed. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a constantly changing environment that is still building and can grow into other roles as we expand.
You will collaborate with sales and marketing to research target organization, identify decision makers/ influencers, and engage in conversation designed to uncover new sales opportunities.
What you’ll do
Build prospecting lists using internal and external resources, with guidance from business development managers and management
Research geography of market segment to identify key suspects by leveraging knowledge of market and/ or competitive landscape
Communicate with prospects through personalized outreach across email, phone, and social channels
Communicate our product’s value add confidently and consistently
Book appointments/ meetings with qualified accounts and prospects for their business development manager counterparts
Generate pipeline by connecting with prospects as they begin buying journey
Leverage sales automation and enablement tools to improve performance and productivity
Assist marketing, onboarding, and sales teams in maintaining CRM data quality
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
1-2 years of experience; 6+ months in SaaS sales, sales outsourcing, or a technology start-up sales team
The ability to meet or exceed goals and metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
A can’t-lose attitude, high-energy, and drive to succeed in a constantly changing environment
A team player, but effective enough to be an individual contributor and motivated to exceed their quota
Strong written and verbal communication skills with external parties (must feel comfortable pitching on the phone, role-playing with colleagues, and communicating with prospects in writing)
Confidence/clarity when communicating with internal stakeholders at all levels
Relevant experience in a process-driven sales organization or technology/ Saas company
Not a requirement, but a huge plus
Passion for interior design, art, objects d’art, decorative arts, or architecture
Understanding of the 1stdibs competitive landscape – from both traditional sources and new technology companies
