Our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) team is responsible for outbound prospecting, outbound lead qualification, and appointment-setting for our team of Business Development Managers (BDMs). We are looking for a team lead to drive success in our SDR team.
The role is made for someone comfortable in a start-up environment – ready to roll up their sleeves, jump in the trenches, and do whatever it takes to succeed. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a constantly-changing environment that is still building.
You will develop and share best practices, ensure a strong partnership with sales and marketing, and support each member of the SDR team to meet and exceed quota. The team lead will grow the team to meet and exceed aggressive sales goals.
What you’ll do
Hire, onboard, train and manage a growing team of SDRs - build your team!
Motivate SDRs to exceed goals through coaching and incentives
Identify methods to optimize our existing tech stack and add in other selling tools to improve rep productivity and gain efficiencies at scale
Align all SDR activities with sales and marketing plans to ensure team-wide efficiencies, pipeline creation, and organization
Develop key performance metrics and dashboards that help the SDR focus on maximizing performance and keep team and company leadership informed
Work with sales leadership to optimize pipeline and revenue creation
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
5+ years experience and demonstrated success in quota-carrying sales role at various levels - ideal candidate will have spent 1-2 years as an SDR, 1-2 years as BDM/ AE, and 1-2 years managing SDRs
Stellar candidates will have experience in a process-driven sales organization, such as a tech startup selling SaaS products or other technology/ cloud-based solutions
Proven ability to pitch to prospects, whether from inbound leads or outbound strategies (pre-call planning, qualification, objection handling, call structure/ control, territory management)
Passion for sales, prospecting, and a high-volume environment
Natural leadership abilities - approachable and optimistic, with strong interpersonal skills
Creative problem solving skills, grit, and intellectual curiosity that lead you to learn more about your craft and question the status quo
Understand our business, the needs of a target client, and able to connect our offering to those needs
Deep experience with CRM (SFDC) and other technologies that drive scale
Highly organized and data-oriented, with deep understanding of key metrics
Strong written and verbal communication skills with prospects and confidence/ clarity when communicating with internal stakeholders at all levels
Not required but a plus
Passion for interior design, art, objects d’art, decorative arts, or architecture
Understanding of the 1stdibs competitive landscape – from both traditional sources and new technology companies
